6 COUNTRIES THAT RECENTLY DROPPED COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS
6 Countries that Recently Dropped COVID Travel Restrictions
After two years of the COVID travel restrictions, countries are gearing up to return to normalcy. Here’s a list of 6 countries that have recently dropped COVID-19 travel restrictions.
1 Denmark
Denmark recently became the first EU nation to lift all Covid 19 restrictions, including social distancing mask-wearing and the requirement to provide health passes for entry into public places. Limits on the number of people allowed at indoor gatherings and social distancing measures also ended. Fully vaccinated travelers will no longer be required to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test on arrival. However, those unvaccinated and traveling outside the EU will need to take a test within 24 hours of entry and self-isolate for ten days.
2 Sweden
Sweden has removed all COVID-19 restrictions. Now, fully vaccinated travelers can enter Sweden without any testing requirements. However, unvaccinated travelers will need to take a test no more than 72 hours before departure.
3 Norway
Norway has removed almost all of its COVID-19 restrictions and eased its entry rules; the quarantine requirements are also removed. Travelers will now be able to Norway without undergoing self-isolation, even if they are not vaccinated or have recovered from the virus. Unvaccinated travelers will still need to get tested and complete the entry form before arriving in Norway.
4 Ireland
Ireland has eased most of its travel and entry requirements. An antigen or PCR test is no longer required before arrival if you are fully vaccinated. However, the Irish Government will consider you unvaccinated if you haven’t done your booster shot or if your last vaccine dose was more than 270 days (approximately 9 months) ago.
5 UK
The British Government recently ended the mask mandate and vaccine passports. On February 11, the British Government announced that fully vaccinated travelers would no longer be required to take a test on or before arrival. Hence, the United Kingdom is a test-free country now. However, unvaccinated travelers will be required to book a PCR test before departure.
6 Israel
Israel’s Health Ministry announced that it has eliminated its “red list” of high-risk countries. In addition, fully vaccinated travelers coming from “orange” countries (that were previously on the “red” list) only need to quarantine for 24 hours after arrival or until they receive a negative COVID -19 test result.
