The St. Regis Florence

The St. Regis Florence may have been “opened” in 2011, but the property has a long history, starting as a 15th-century palazzo that has been welcoming travelers since the 18th century. In the 80 guest rooms and 19 suites, you’ll find all of the modern comforts expected of a luxury hotel, combined with the Renaissance-era elegance of canopied beds, colorful brocades, custom frescoes, and crystal chandeliers.

The hotel’s legendary service includes personal butlers for every room and the city’s most savvy concierges. The St. Regis Florence also features what is expected to be one of the most magnificent restaurant and bar lounges in the city: Winter Garden Restaurant & Bar, offers a truly innovative epicurean culinary experience combining a prestigious wine list with sophisticated culinary creations.

Situated in the heart of the city, The St. Regis Florence is the perfect location to experience Tuscany’s timeless attractions: the outdoor library terrace, with views of the Church and Piazza Ognissanti, is the perfect place to join the Italian ritual of “aperitivo”. For private dining and functions, the hotel offers a majestic ballroom on the mezzanine, or for smaller functions the intimate “Cantinetta”, a 15th century brick vaulted cellar designed for those who love fine wines paired with original Tuscany flavors.

Rooms & Suites

The St. Regis Florence features 80 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and 19 suites, including a spectacular designer suite by Bottega Veneta. Reflecting Florence’s rich artistic heritage, all the hotel’s guest rooms and suites feature individually hand carved gold leaf plaques including one of three different color palettes – Medici, Florentine and Renaissance. (Fun fact – every guest room and suite is named after noted Italian artists, benefactors and nobility!) The restoration celebrates Florentine history and culture using authentic local artisans, product and design elements including custom hand painted Tuscan and Florentine landscapes in every guest room. “A room with a view” is a must in Florence, and with a location on the banks of the Arno River, you’ll get just that at The St. Regis! We recommend booking a romantic river-view room facing the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest of Florence’s bridges.
Deluxe Rooms

The Deluxe Rooms can be booked as a standard room, though we recommend upgrading to one with an Arno River view! These rooms feature either 15th century Florentine, Medici, or Renaissance-themed decor. While they’re all beautiful, our favorites are the Renaissance-style rooms with elegant canopy beds. All rooms are elegantly appointed with Art Deco marble bathrooms, some with combination shower/tub and others with a separate soaking tub.

Premium Rooms

For a little more space, upgrade from the Deluxe category to a Premium Room. These expansive rooms are emblematic of Florence’s noble history, adorned with chandeliers which illuminate Florentine, Medici, or Renaissance-style antique furniture. Meanwhile, expansive windows enlight the room in natural light. A selection of Arno River Premium Rooms include a step-out balcony where guests can be delighted by the panoramas of the surrounding hills.

These rooms also feature separate bathtub and shower with Acqua di Parma bath amenities.

Interspersed with hand-decorated wooden columns, art and one-of-a-kind antiques, each of the Royal Suite’s 84-square-meters offers enjoyment and intrigue. The splendorous atmosphere draws inspiration from the Court of the Medici, Florence wealthiest and most influential family between the 13th and 17th Centuries. The spacious salon overlooking the iconic Arno River has a sitting and working area, and two sumptuous black and white, veined marble bathrooms house deep soaking tubs.
